Screen Printer

Core Focus

The Screen Printer will work with press team on an automated and/or manual press to maintain or exceed overall decoration results on garments for overall customer satisfaction and keeping the company competitive in customization offerings.

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • Print garments using an automated screen press for garment printing/multiple color
  •  Work with a 2 to 3 person team, in all positions of printer, take off, and QC to produce quality garments
  • Able to mix ink as needed for print job
  • Match paperwork (art/work orders/pick tickets) to production screens & garments at a detailed level
  • Meet established production guidelines for output and ship date compliance
  • QC printed garments in comparison to Style Guide Standards & Production Work Orders
  • Maintain a print accuracy level </= 1% error rate
  • Utilize basic PC skills to look up & update orders
  • Maintain neat and safe work area
  • Partner with all production staff to develop ideas to maintain and improve all levels of service and production
  • Handle additional responsibilities and projects as directed by immediate supervisor.


  • Read, write, and speak English
  • Match numbers, letters, and short descriptions on paperwork and product
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic PC skills, Navision preferred, not required
  • Attention to detail and willingness to critique output of print job against set standards and customer expectations
  • Desire to learn other functionalities other than  Level 2 Printer
  • One to five year printing press (manual or automated) experience.
  • Ability to perform minor maintenance and repair on press a plus, not required.

  • Work in warehouse where climate temperatures vary between hot/cold
  • Stand/ walk all day
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Overt-time is sometimes required to complete day’s work/current press job

You will be expected to have the right people in the right place at the right time, to enable the organization to “move it forward” and produce great work—on time, on budget and as efficiently as possible. As Project Coordinator, you must be able to manage a mixture of small and simplistic projects, along with large multi-faceted projects for well-known brands, events, campaigns and activations at the same time.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all cycle count activities (unit and location level, frequency, documentation, productivity, accuracy, etc.) of assigned area per guidelines established by internal and external auditors.
  • Responsible for all quality audits (unit, frequency, documentation, percentage audited, accuracy, etc.).
  • Responsible for all inbound vendor performance audits.
  • Responsible for effectively and efficiently communicating inventory accuracy, productivity, issues on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. 
  • Responsible for all inventory movement in assigned area that is not in the normal inbound and outbound processes. 
  • Responsible for properly executing and monitoring slotting strategy/plan in assigned area.   
  • Closely monitor all inventory related movements with the facility for strict adherence to established procedures and timely/accurate/thorough reporting when compliance is compromised. 
  • Responsible for optimal work flow and safety of assigned area and associates. 
  • Evaluate and drive employee performance through coaching, leadership (lead by example), proper planning, effective communication and providing clear and attainable expectations all while using the company guidelines.
  • Through continuous improvement methodology, improve inventory/quality processes that will improve associate morale, service, cost per unit, quality and/or accuracy.
  • Assist with other projects as required.
  • Understand and properly manage all necessary productivity variables in order to improve cost per unit while maintaining high levels of service, quality and morale.
  • Develop associates (exempt and non-exempt) through timely feedback, effective communication, proper expectations and training, mentoring/coaching so they can achieve their professional metrics/goals and take on roles of increased responsibility over time.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for all direct reports (addressing metrics and behaviors).
  • Effectively collaborate and communicate with internal business partners (customer service, planning, quality, business units, etc.).
  •  Direct reports include hourly coordinators and associates for inventory and quality in assigned area.
  • Maintain working knowledge of current innovations and best practices in the operations area and investigate integration of these ideas to improve distribution function.
  • Actively own safety (incidents, near misses, accidents, awareness, etc.) through full participation in all safety related matters (meetings, supporting initiatives, investigations, etc.).
  • Perform monthly safety inspections and submit to Safety department.
  • Partner with operations to validate written SOP’s; oversee IC and operational processes.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in a related field, preferred.
  • 3-5 years of managerial level experience with a preference of 1-2 years in the apparel distribution functional area and/or an automated distribution environment.
  • Experience leading teams of 20+ associates (non-exempt).
  • Experience working a high volume, fast-paced Supply Chain environment.

Preferred Skills

  • General understanding and knowledge of the latest distribution center technologies (warehouse management systems, automated unit sortation, automated storage and retrieval system (OSR), automated shipping and receiving sortation, pick-to-light, radio-frequency scanners, warehouse control systems (WCS), conveyors, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Proven ability in making sound business decisions (focus on the decision-making process).
  • Proven leadership ability (focus on being proactive, leading/driving change, repeatedly achieving given goals, motivating people, coaching/developing people and being a good follower – disagree and commit).
  • Strong customer-focus (demonstrated success in identifying, understanding, aligning, delivering and following-up with internal and external customers).
  • Demonstrated success working within a matrix organization and team environment while meeting/exceeding expectations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and evening or weekend shifts.
  • Demonstrated success with multi-tasking and the ability to adapt to ever-changing environment while maintaining clear focus on all priorities.
